Mrs Kate Miller
I was born in 1974 in Yorkshire and have been on stage since the age of five. My mother's side of the family are originally from Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England and having worked in Slovakia gaining a recording contract with EMI Monitors, I eventually moved to the North East.
It was here where I studied Musical Theatre and personally worked with the likes of Richard Wilson, Amanda Barry, Julian Clarey and Vanessa Feltz. During and after my studies I wrote and performed my own music which was included in the Romeo and Juliet Jazz Suite, working closely with the young musician of the year, touring England.
I have followed my mum and dad who strongly influenced my interest of the stage. My mum, Rose, who began her career in Tyne and Wear, working under the name of Lynne Murray, worked the circuits with Paul Daniels and Bernie Winters. My father, a professional artist, also has strong ties to the area, recently painting the 'Middens' soon to be exhibiting in London.

Brooke Brown-Adams
I am delighted to have such a young and gifted tutor working at Stage Craft. Brooke has been teaching professionally since graduating from university with a BA (Hons) in dance. She trained as a fitness instructor and believes that fitness and dance go hand in hand with each other. As a dancer and teacher she is skilled in a multitude of different dance styles and techniques including ballet, belly dancing, street/hip hop, salsa, line dance, tap, contemporary, african contemporary and jazz.
"We want the children at Stage Craft to master as many dance styles and techniques as possible, as well as maintaining their fitness levels. They will gain a knowledge of substantia, warm-ups and cool downs as well as general stretching so as to avoid injury. Children will develop a wide range of dance and fitness vocabulary and understand the theory behind the different art forms. Every child is different, and we want to nurture their creative flair!"
Stage Craft
I opened the Stage Craft School of Performing Arts in August 2007 after gaining experience working at Newcastle College and various other dancing schools in the area. I teach singing, drama, piano and clarinet. Stage Craft is currently based at Cullercoats Community Centre, but will eventually settle into the area on a more permanent basis.
The aim of Stage Craft will be to give children a real insight into the world of performing arts, enabling children to grow in confidence and learn in a fun and safe environment. Stage Craft will be exploring the culture of world music which will be incorporated into dance and drama - reggae to classical and jazz, to traditional and Geordie folk music. Talks will be given from professional entertainers and students will have visits to professional recording studios in the region.
Tell you friends... tell your family... Stage Craft is a new name everyone will soon be talking about!
